Bethany police request help from OSBI in Carina Saunders case

KOCO reports that the Bethany Police Department has requested help from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in the dismemberment and death of Carina Saunders.

The station reports that an OSBI spokeswoman said the request was made Monday afternoon.

The 19-year-old Mustang woman’s remains were found in a duffel bag behind a Bethany grocery store on Oct. 13, 2011.

Luis Enrique Ruiz, 37, and Jimmy Lee Massey Jr., 33, were charged in July 2012 with first-degree murder in connection with her death.
