Bible Lesson

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in Me.”

— John 14:1

Jesus gave the ultimate solution for facing all fears and overcoming all problems. He said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” We can refuse to let our hearts be troubled by past, present or possible events we hear reported with troubled tones. We can choose to confront every troubling person or situation with peace of mind and heart. Jesus gave a rational reason for not allowing ourselves to become overwhelmed with events and people beyond our control. He said, “Believe in God, believe also in Me.”

Jesus came into the world to show and tell the truth about God and Himself. By how Jesus lived and died, He revealed the depth of God's gracious love. He showed the character and nature of God so perfectly throughout His life and ministry that He said, “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). When we see the perfect, wise and loving concern of God the Father in the way Jesus treated people, if we believe in God and Jesus, we can have hope at all times.
