TULSA — Tulsa police say a bicyclist is dead after he was struck and killed by a car late Monday night.
Police say the 21-year-old man was riding his bicycle at about 10:15 p.m. on 71st Street when he was hit from behind by a car.
Sgt. Ryan Woods of the Tulsa Police Department says the collision remains under investigation. A local television station reports that the bicyclist was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say there are conflicting reports about which vehicle struck the bicyclist. Woods says the driver of a white car stopped after the collision, but a second car that may have been involved left the scene without stopping.
