NORMAN — Bicycle enthusiasts from across Norman rallied Friday in Andrews Park in observance of national Bike to Work Day.
The bikers came in groups from the Moore Norman Technology Center, Norman Regional Healthplex and the Murray Case Sells Swim Complex.
The groups converged at the park, where they had breakfast and urged others to bike more often.
Bike to Work Day is part of a national campaign to promote bicycling as a healthy and efficient means of transportation.
Norman and other metro-area cities coordinate Bike to Work Day each year with the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments.
Group bike rides were held Friday in a number of metro-area cities.
