/> "We just didn’t come out and perform,” Clinton quarterback Ryan Stringer said. "We didn’t execute.”

That started early for the Red Tornadoes (4-2, 2-1 in District 3A-1), who turned the ball over four times in the first 13 minutes.

Tuttle turned two of those turnovers into touchdowns.

Clinton briefly climbed back in the game, pulling within 21-14 after two long touchdown runs by Delans Griffin in the second quarter.

But Tuttle got the ball back with just more than four minutes left in the first half and went down the field in 11 plays to score just before half and regain control.

Griffin finished with 230 yards on 23 carries. No one else carried the ball for Clinton until the fourth quarter.

Moore is expected to be back next week for Tuttle, as Koons said he suffered from a stinger in his left shoulder. The injury occurred on a defensive play late in the first quarter.

The Tigers’ win avenges two losses to Clinton last season, both blowouts.

"This is so sweet,” Biddy said. "I’ve never carried that many times in my life.”
