President Obama had to ask Joe Biden to be vice president not once, but twice, Biden revealed today when telling children at a Boys Club how he turned down Obama's first offer.

"I never intended to get involved in politics and become vice president," Biden said today, according to the pool report. "After turning down Obama once, he related finally agreeing to be his running mate. "I got beat like a drum by Barack Obama," Biden also told the children.
