Biden invokes Tucson, Sandy Hook to defend gun proposals

If Tuscon shooter Jared Loughner had only had 10 rounds in his gun the day he shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, 9-year-old Christina Green would “probably” be alive today, Vice President Joe Biden told the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington, D.C. today.

Christina was one of six people killed when Loughner opened fire on a crowd gathered to meet Giffords.

Asking for feedback from the gathered attorneys general on the administration’s proposals to reduce gun violence, Biden argued that high-capacity magazines mean more gun deaths.
