Big 12 baseball is barely a blip on Baseball America's preseason All-America teams, which were released Monday on the publication's website.

No Big 12 players make BA's first-team and only three players total from the Big 12 on on the three teams selected. TCU has two of them in pitcher Brandon Finnegan (second team) and first baseman Kevin Cron (third team).

The only other Big 12 school represented is Kansas State. The Wildcats placed second baseman Ross Kivett on the third team.

In comparison, top-ranked Virginia placed four players on BA's preseason All-America teams, including first-teamer Derek Fisher (no, not the Thunder guard).

The Atlantic Coast Conference dominated BA's preseason teams, with N.C. State the only school to put two players on the first team in shortshop Trea Turner and left-hander Carlos Rodon, who is projected by many to be the No. 1 player selected in the 2014 MLB Draft.

Even a Heisman Trophy winner makes an appearance. Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston makes the third team as a utility player.
