Whose stock is up or down in the Big 12 this week:

Up: Robbie Rea, 3B, OSU

The Topeka, Kan., product led the Cowboys to a 3-1 week, including a much-needed series win over his home-state Kansas State Wildcats. Rea batted .400 with three home runs, a double and four RBIs, racking up 16 total bases and a 1.067 slugging percentage. He also scored four runs, stole a base and played error-free in the field.

Down: Augie Garrido, coach, Texas

These are strange days in Austin, where the Longhorns have yet to win a conference series, most recently taken down by league newcomer West Virginia. Texas is 22-17 overall and 5-10 and tied for last place in the conference. Rumors of a Garrido resignation, however, seem premature. “I'm sure as hell not going out a loser,” the legendary coach told the Austin American-Statesman.

Up: Harrison Musgrave, LHP, West Virginia

Musgrave set up the Mountaineers' series win over Texas in Austin, going the distance in a 1-0 win over the Longhorns on Friday night. Musgrave allowed six hits — three of the infield variety — while striking out nine and walking two in a bulldog-like, 124-pitch performance.
