Tyler Naquin and Scott Arthur drove in three each as Texas A&M blew out Kansas 10-4 in the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Leading 1-0 in the fifth inning, the second-seeded Aggies broke it open with four in the fifth — all with two outs.
After Frank Duncan retired the first two Texas A&M hitters, Texas A&M rapped out five consecutive hits, including an RBI triple by Arthur and a two-run double by Matt Juengel.
The Aggies added two in the sixth and three in the seventh to blow the game open.
Texas A&M (42-14) will take on the winner of Wednesday night's Texas-Missouri game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a berth in the semifinals.
Kansas (22-33) will play the Texas-Missouri loser at 12:30 p.m. in an elimination game.
Texas A&M starter Daniel Mengden (3-3) was making just his fourth start of the year. Mengden pitched into the seventh, giving up just one unearned run in his 6 2/3 innings.
