Josh Holliday’s vision for the Oklahoma State baseball program is quickly coming to fruition.
In Holliday’s second year as coach at OSU, Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater will host one of 16 NCAA regionals after the Cowboys went 45-16 and won the Big 12 regular season championship.
This is Stillwater’s first time to host since 2008 and the 11th time in program history.
“There’s not a more beautiful plot of grass anywhere in this part of the country than Reynolds Stadium,” Holliday said. “We’ll doll it up, and we’ll look forward to hosting three great teams and putting on a regional tournament.”
TCU, which beat OSU 7-1 Sunday for the Big 12 Tournament title, will also host a regional. Both teams are in contention for one of eight national seeds, though perfectgame.org projects TCU will edge OSU for the spot.
National seeds and the rest of the tournament field will be announced 11 a.m. Monday.
“One of the two of us better get one,” TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle said. “It's the No. 2 RPI conference in the country. I'm not going to downplay that. We've earned that.”
The tournament championship marked TCU’s first Big 12 title in any sport since joining the conference in 2012.
COWBOYS, SOONERS GET 5 ON ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Three Oklahoma State Cowboys and two Oklahoma Sooners made the Big 12’s All-Tournament team. TCU designated hitter Jerrick Suiter won Most Outstanding Performer after hitting .455 with six RBIs in four games.

BRICKTOWN ATTENDANCE LARGEST SINCE 2010
The final Big 12 Baseball Championships game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark — before the event goes to Tulsa's ONEOK Field for one year in 2014 — drew the largest crowd of the week and one of the best in recent memory.
The OSU-heavy crowd resulted in an official attendance of 7,686. Cumulative attendance for the week was 68,153, the largest since 2010.
