Big 12 football: Baylor's riding high, but the Bears haven't been too good in Big 12 road games

Baylor and quarterback Bryce Petty are riding high, but consider this. The Bears are 1-7 in Big 12 road games the last two seasons, with the lone win 31-30 in overtime at Kansas in 2011. Baylor is a 17-point favorite in Manhattan, but let's go with K-State in the upset.

Baylor is all the rage in the Big 12. The Bears have bounced Wofford 69-3, Buffalo 70-13, Louisiana-Monroe 70-7 and West Virginia 73-42.

But this very week last season, West Virginia was all the rage. The Mountaineers had beaten Marshall 69-34, James Madison 42-12, Maryland 31-21, Baylor 70-63 and Texas 48-45.

Someone asked me this very week last season, is there any way Geno Smith won't win the Heisman?

So things can change very quickly. Baylor and quarterback Bryce Petty are riding high, but consider this. The Bears are 1-7 in Big 12 road games the last two seasons, with the lone win 31-30 in overtime at Kansas in 2011.

Saturday, Baylor goes to Kansas State. The Wildcats are struggling, at 2-3, and frankly are in desperation mode.

Baylor is a 17-point favorite in Manhattan, but let's go with K-State in the upset.
