Big 12 football: Miami at K-State tops this week's slate of games

Here is a look at our rankings of this week's Big 12 slate of football games:

1. Miami at Kansas State: Since K-State football became relevant in 1993, here are the name brands to visit Manhattan for non-conference games – Minnesota (1994), Southern Cal (2002), Louisville (2006) and UCLA (2010).

2. Iowa State at Iowa: Cyclones have lost four straight in Iowa City but before that won three straight in Kinnick Stadium.

3. OSU at Arizona: Third meeting in OSU's last 16 games.

4. Texas Tech at Texas State: You know, if all the Texans got together, they could form a decent mid-major league. North Texas, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, UTEP, Rice.

5. Rice at Kansas: KU QB Dayne Crist unimpressive last week.

6. New Mexico at Texas: Both series meetings (1947, 1988) were won 47-0 by UT.

7. Grambling State at TCU: Frogs open their glittering new stadium.

8. Florida A&M at OU: Third straight year Sooners play a team from Tallahassee.
