Kansas State has played 16 bowl games in its history. Bill Snyder has coached 14 of those.
Snyder is K-State football history. But about the only knock on Snyder is his bowl record: 6-8, with two of the wins coming over Wyoming and Colorado State.
Snyder hasn't won a bowl game since beating Arizona State 34-27 in the 2002 Holiday. His Wildcats have lost four straight in the post-season.
Now KSU plays Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Monday night. The Wolverines were last seen scaring Ohio State, but quarterback Devin Gardner isn't expected to play.
K-State, along with Baylor, are the only Big 12 teams favored in bowls. Snyder is a made man in Manhattan, so his legacy is assured.
But the Big 12 needs Snyder to produce in a bowl this season. And K-State fans would feel a little better, too.
