Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will each host their 2012 Big 12 Conference football openers on FOX Sports in September, FOXSports.com reported Monday.
The Sooners' game Sept. 22 vs. Kansas State, scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. broadcast time, and Oklahoma State's game the next Saturday against Texas, also scheduled for a 6:30 start, are each part of FOX Sports' first year of broadcasting regular-season college football games.
FOX Sports announced five games that it will broadcast this season, with more announcements to come soon.
Erin Andrews, Eddie George and Joey Harrington will host FOX College Football Saturday every week, beginning at 6 p.m. Central time, before the network's game for that week.
For the Sooners and Cowboys, the broadcast times represent the third and fourth, respectively, announced for each school's 2012 football schedule.
Oklahoma opens its season on Sept. 1 at UTEP, with a 9:30 p.m. kickoff, and then hosts Florida A&M the next week at 6 p.m. The Sooners have the week of Saturday, Sept. 15 off before the Kansas State game.
Oklahoma State opens Sept. 1 at home against Savannah State, plays at Arizona at 9:30 p.m., the next Saturday and then hosts Louisiana-Lafayette at 11 a.m. on Sept. 15.
Neither start time — for OU or OSU — reported Monday has been officially announced or confirmed by the universities.
