Last week, The Oklahoman conducted its second annual Big 12 media days player poll. Last year, we polled players about the bests and worsts of the Big 12. This time, we asked players a series of questions regarding conference realignment.
TCU, garnering 27 percent of the vote, was the overwhelming selection as the school players would select to replace Colorado and Nebraska. Arkansas and Houston also received strong support.
While the league's coaches voted overwhelmingly against having a conference championship game years ago, the Big 12 players unanimously support one, even though there won't be a championship game after this season.
Of the 38 players who attended Big 12 media days, 28 participated. The six players from Colorado and Nebraska were not interviewed, and all four of Texas' players refused to take part in the poll.
To allow for candid responses, the answers are being kept anonymous.
