Big 12 football power poll: Oklahoma State looks to be in driver's seat

The Big 12 returns five quarterbacks who threw for more than 1,000 yards last season, and three of them are at OSU.

7. West Virginia: Geno Smith, Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey are gone, taking with them 4,205 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, 2,911 receiving yards and 37 receiving touchdowns. Tough to replace, but Dana Holgorsen usually finds a way.

8. Texas Tech: It's a new era in Lubbock, with native son Kliff Kingsbury taking over the program and hope on the horizon. But this year's roster is still full of Tommy Tuberville's guys.

9. Iowa State: The Cyclones seem to play above their talent level and expectations year after year. To compete in the conference, they'll have to do that again in 2013.

10. Kansas: In Big 12 play, the Jayhawks are 0-18 the past two seasons and 2-32 the past four.
