Big 12 men's basketball scenarios

Wednesday sorted things out relatively well in the Big 12 race going into the final Saturday. All Oklahoma does is need a win over TCU, a team that hasn’t won a conference game all season, to sew up the No. 2 spot in next week’s Big 12 Tournament. But things are still plenty tangled below the Sooners with Iowa State and Kansas State still tangling for position and Baylor, Oklahoma State and West Virginia bottled up below that.

Here’s a look at each Big 12 scenario heading into Saturday’s games.

Kansas: First.

Oklahoma: Second with win or Texas loss. Third with loss, Texas win and Baylor win. Fourth with loss, Texas win and Kansas State win.

Texas: Second with win and Oklahoma loss. Third with win and Oklahoma win. Third with loss, Oklahoma win and Baylor win. Third with loss, Oklahoma loss, Oklahoma State win and Baylor win. Fourth with loss, Oklahoma win and Kansas State win. Fourth with loss, Oklahoma loss, Oklahoma State win, Kansas win and Kansas State win. Fourth with loss, Oklahoma loss, Iowa State win and Kansas State win. Fourth with loss, Oklahoma loss, Iowa State win, Kansas win and Baylor win.

Iowa State: Third with in, Oklahoma win, Kansas win, Baylor win and Texas win. Third with win, Oklahoma loss, Baylor win and Texas loss.
