When dealing with the media, coaches and players often become spin doctors. Here’s an idea what they were spinning at Big 12 media days and what is more likely the reality of the situation

  • Baylor

    What they said:

    What they said:

    “We can win every game if we go out and do our job every play, every down. We’re gonna go out there and do our best to win every one of them.” — linebacker Jesse Smith Reality check:

    Baby steps, friend, baby steps. The Cyclones were 3-9 last year and don’t have a starting quarterback yet. Try winning four games first. Maybe go to a bowl. Win the Big 12 North for the first time in school history.
