Big 12 women's basketball notebook: Kim Mulkey 'pulling for' Oklahoma State in NCAA Tournament

Mulkey said: “You've got a team in Oklahoma State that I'm pulling for. I think (coach) Jim Littell has done an outstanding job, and he has very good players that play well together.”

Baylor coach Kim Mulkey expressed her love for the Big 12 following Sunday's Big 12 Tournament semifinal victory against Oklahoma State, saying she hopes every team from the league that earns an NCAA Tournament berth finds success.

COALE GIVES SUCCINCT BREAKDOWN OF BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

As Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale's postgame press conference was winding down following the Sooners' 79-60 loss to Iowa State, she was asked to give a scouting report on the championship matchup between Baylor and the Cyclones.

Coale was, in a word, brief.

“Baylor's really good. Iowa State's really good,” she said. “Ought to be a great Big 12 game.

“Sorry, not where my mind is right now.”

Littell said following Saturday's quarterfinal win against Texas Tech that post Kendra Suttles had been the Cowgirls' best player over the past month.
