No. 1 BAYLOR

Record: 26-4 overall, 16-2 Big 12

Tournament history: Bears have won three straight Big 12 Tournaments, four of the last five and five of the last nine.

Star player: Senior guard Odyssey Sims is one of the nation’s most dominant players, averaging an NCAA-high 29.6 points, plus 4.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.

Coach: Kim Mulkey (14th season, 399-8481-178 record, two NCAA titles.)

Coach: Mike Carey (14th season, 271-144 record; Carey also was 288-102 in 13 seasons as the men’s coach at Salem College).
