The last time Kansas faced Baylor, the Jayhawks snapped the Bears’ 57-game Big 12 Conference winning streak with a 76-60 upset victory in Lawrence, Kan.

KU gets another crack at the No. 1-seeded Bears on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals.

“I think it's all about just coming out confident and coming out playing our game,” said KU senior CeCe Harper. “The prep that the coaches give us is amazing, just knowing what we needed to do to put ourselves in the situation to win tomorrow.”

COALE LIKES CHANGES

For the second year, the Big 12 men’s and women’s basketball tournaments are being held at two different sites in different weeks.

The women’s tournament was in Dallas last year, and will return there next season, with the 2014 and 2016 events being held in Oklahoma City. The men’s tournament is next week in Kansas City, Mo.

“We just have the one year’s experience, but we had a good crowd last year, and I love having it in Oklahoma City,” said OU coach Sherri Coale.

QUOTABLE

Littell, on Bias’ career: “She’s been the face of this program for a lot of years now. She’s basically started every game of her career since she’s been here. She’s a unanimous choice all-Big 12, an All-American last year. She’s the heart and soul of this team.”
