For the first time, producers from TV's “Big Brother” will be in Oklahoma City casting for Season 15 of the show, bringing Oklahomans a chance to compete for a grand prize of $500,000.

“We're expecting big things from Oklahoma City,” said Robyn Kass, “Big Brother” casting director.

The show centers on a group of strangers who are locked in a house together with no contact with the outside world.

In the house, she said there are no phones, TVs, computers, newspapers or radio. “They are completely isolated,” Kass said.

Just being without their gadgets and Internet access for up to three months can, these days, be “tougher than the competition,” she said.

Often contestants become involved in “showmances,” romantic relationships between house guests.

“We've had two ‘Big Brother' weddings in the last six months. How crazy is that?” Kass said.

Initial auditions will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Mar. 30 at Bob Moore Kia of Edmond, 13241 N Broadway Extension. Anyone 21 and older can audition. Callbacks will be within the next couple of months, and the complete cast likely will be chosen within three months, Kass said.

“Big Brother” producers are looking for all kinds of people, Kass said, but especially those who are energetic, expressive and emotional.
