Bill banning children from being in Oklahoma lottery ads advances

Children would be banned from being in lottery commercials under a measure passed Tuesday by the Senate.

House Bill 1321, by Rep. Harold Wright, R-Weatherford, and Sen. Ron Justice, R-Chickasha, was approved 45-0 and returns to the House.

“Young people can’t gamble,” Justice said. “It doesn’t seem fitting that they should be able to help advertise something they can’t participate in.”
