Bio Channel to be rebranded as FYI next summer

NEW YORK (AP) — A&E Networks says its Bio Channel will be going through big changes next summer.

Bio is set to be rebranded as FYI, a contemporary lifestyle network, the company announced Wednesday.

It will target upscale viewers, with a younger and more modern sensibility than existing lifestyle networks have displayed, according to Nancy Dubuc, head of A&E Networks.

FYI is in development on more than 30 potential new series meant to inspire, not instruct, its audience, the network said.

It will be available in nearly 70 million homes.
