NEW YORK (AP) — Investment manager BlackRock on Wednesday said it named former General Electric Co. executive Pamela Daley to its board of directors.
BlackRock said Daley was GE's senior counsel for transactions from 1991 to 2004 and was in charge of corporate business development from 2004 to 2013. She spent most of 2013 as a special advisor to Chairman Jeffrey Immelt before she retired Jan. 1.
Daley's appointment expands BlackRock Inc.'s board to 20 directors.
Its shares rose 74 cents to $311.26 in morning trading.
