Blake Bell isn't totally oblivious to the chorus of fans calling for his elevation on Oklahoma's depth chart above Landry Jones.

The sophomore backup quarterback scored two touchdowns from the Belldozer formation in Saturday's 41-20 win at Texas Tech, but Jones played his best game since losing All-American receiver Ryan Broyles late last season; the senior four-year starter completed 25 of 40 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns, but his strong day went beyond the stat line.
Jones was poised, not panicked, in the pocket. Most of his pass attempts were right on the money, particularly on his two touchdown tosses to Justin Brown and Kenny Stills.
“He did awesome. I'm glad. He looked real confident out there,” Bell said.
“A couple of those balls to Justin Brown and Kenny in the corner ... that's the Landry I know.”
When asked if he pays attention to OU fans who call for Jones' benching, Bell said: “I don't even worry about that. I know what Landry can do, and I know the player he is, and he showed it out there today.
