CLINTON — High winds are combining with snowfall in southwestern Oklahoma to create blizzard conditions.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman says winds will gust to 40-45 mph as snow falls at a rate of up to an inch and a-half per hour. Near-zero visibility is possible.

A storm system coming out of the Rockies may strengthen. Visibility in portions of western Oklahoma were already down to a quarter-mile Christmas morning, making travel difficult, and the bad conditions are expected to spread through much of southwestern Oklahoma.
