Another favorite episode is the season's finale, “Best of Both Worlds, Part I,” which features Starfleet coming in contact with the Borg. The cliffhanger ending at the end of season three is memorable and chilling. (Both parts of “Best of Both Worlds” have been released as a stand-alone Blu-ray, as well.)

Overall, season three is hallmark “Trek”: Action, intrigue and social commentary as man seeks its future across the stars.

Episodes are presented in 1080p high definition and digitally remastered 7.1 sound, with upgraded effects that maintain the integrity of the originals. Each episode offers the opportunity to watch with the original episodic promo.

Extras include featurettes, behind-the-scenes updates and commentaries.
