COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Tim Erixon from the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

He will fill in for defenseman James Wisniewski, who will miss a week with an upper-body injury.

The 22-year-old Erixon, who played one game with the Blue Jackets earlier this season, leads Springfield in scoring this season with 16 points on three goals and 13 assists.

He was acquired by Columbus in the Rick Nash trade with the New York Rangers on July 23, 2012. Erixon has no goals and seven assists in 50 career NHL games with the Rangers and Blue Jackets.
