Boater rescued from Chesapeake Bay

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (AP) — A boater who was rescued from the Chesapeake Bay near St. Mary's County has been hospitalized.

Maryland Natural Resources Police spokesman Sgt. Art Windemuth says the incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Windemuth says the person fell overboard from a 28-foot sport fishing boat going northbound in the bay near Point Lookout .
