Former OU basketball coach and current Houston Rockets assistant Kelvin Sampson: "When you think of all those pre-game, post-game and call-in shows we did together (1994-96), I probably spent more time with Bob than I did with anybody, except my family and my team. He was a part of our family is what he was. He'll be missed."
OU President David L. Boren: "Bob Barry represented the best of the Sooner spirit. With his contagious enthusiasm, he was one of the best sports broadcast journalists in the entire nation. He was loved by Oklahomans all across our entire state and will be missed by all of us."
