It's not the first time Stoops has limited player availability, which normally is open to anyone who has played in a game and is not injured. But it is the first time in several years, as the Sooners try to shake their stigma of playing poorly on the road.

“We don't have a lot to say. We need to go out there and win,” Lewis said. “There's not much to say. You can get 20 players to say the same thing, that we need to go out there and get a win this week.

“That's up to us, to silence all the doubters and prove to ourselves and to everybody else that we're a great team regardless of where we play at.”

Stoops admitted “there may be” other changes made behind closed doors, but noted, “if there is, I'm not talking about them.”

One shakeup Stoops said he won't be making will be flying the team down the day of the game; the Sooners don't kickoff in Waco until 7 p.m.

“We did that a long time ago. When I was at Kansas State, we did that with Minnesota (in 1993) and we won,” Stoops said. “But no, we're not doing that.”
