He is paired with Tiger Woods.

Completing the threesome is 2002 PGA champion Rich Beem. The group goes off the No. 10 tee today at 8:45 a.m., and off the No. 1 tee at 1:50 p.m. Friday.

Tway, the 1986 PGA champion, said he has no complaints being paired with Woods, the defending champion.

"It's a good pairing," Tway said. "I've always enjoyed playing with Tiger. I enjoy seeing what's going on, how he's playing. There's a lot going on out there. There's probably a little bit of pressure because of the buzz of everything. He's definitely a lot better than all of us. I didn't think anyone could play at the level he has played. He's done things I never thought were possible, and I think he's going to continue."

Tway said a key to Woods winning 12 majors has been his ability to maintain his composure while those around them are losing their's.

"He's able to deal with that type situation better than most because that's his arena every day he's on the golf course," Tway said.

"He deals with all the crowds and all the distractions every single day. The average player doesn't deal with that circus every single day. It's not necessarily that people are scared (of Woods), it's putting up with all the crap that's swirling around. That's his arena, his life ... plus, he's better than everybody else. That's the bottom line."
