I have more eye shadows than I can count, but I want something new. Happens every year about this time. I get a little bored with what I’ve been using all summer and I start looking for a new shade. I like to think of it as a baby step into fall.

Bobbi Brown’s new collection includes 24 shades available in matte, metallic, sparkle and shimmer formulas so we can have plenty of shades and textures from which to choose.  These are the perfect summer pick-me-up or, in my case, a fall teaser.

In stores this month, the new collection was inspired by requests from fans and makeup artists. And each shadow can be used individually or popped into one of Bobbi’s customizable palettes.

Here’s a quick rundown of the collection:

Sparkle eye shadow. The featherweight formula wears for up to 8 hours without creasing or fading. It features a combo of multi-dimensional shimmering pearls and glitter to bright the eyes. Shades: Silver Moon, Ballet Pink, Mica, Sunlight, Cement, Taupe, Pebble, Silver Lilac, Smokey Quartz, Allspice, Baby Peach. $32.

Eye shadow. Subtle nudes to dramatic shades in a silky, matte formula that glides on easily and is easy to wear. Shades: Banana, Mulberry, Cool Ivory, Antique Rose, Khaki, Saddle, Camel, Rich Espresso, Rich Navy, Rich Caviar. $22.

Shimmer wash eye shadow. Adds a touch of luminosity on the eye. Long-lasting, crease-free wear and easy to blend. Shades: Pink Chiffon  $22.

Metallic eye shadow. Bobbi’s boldest formula combines rich, highpigment color with intense pearl-like shimmer. Stays crease-free for 8 hours. Shades: Balsam, Lapis. $22.
