Body found in Catoosa recycling center

— A female body was found Monday in a recycling facility, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported.

Shortly before noon, Catoosa police received a call from the National Waste Disposal Facility, 2214 N 170 E Ave., concerning a body that was found among cardboard that had been dropped off for recycling.

The body was badly decomposed and investigators found no identification on the body. The state medical examiner’s office took the body to its Tulsa office to determine the woman’s cause and manner of death, OSBI reported.

OSBI agents will investigate the death as suspicious until the medical examiner’s office determines more information concerning the woman’s death.
