A man was found dead Saturday morning on a walking trail in a Midwest City park, police said.

Police found the body of a 55-year-old white male shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, said Maj. Bob Cornelison, a Midwest City police spokesman.

The body was found in Tom Poore Park, on a trail that runs between Hazelwood Drive and NE 10. It was sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine a cause of death, but police think the man died from a medical issue, Cornelison said.

Cornelison said the man lived in the Oklahoma City metro area, but he did not release his name because relatives had not been notified. has disabled the comments for this article.
