Oklahoma City police are investigating after a body was found near a landfill in northeast Oklahoma City.

Capt. Dexter Nelson, a spokesman for the Oklahoma City Police Department, said the body was found near the East Oak Landfill.

Detectives were still at the scene Friday afternoon. Officers hadn’t determined the person’s age, sex or race, Nelson said.
