One person is dead after a house fire Sunday evening, authorities said.

About 6:45 p.m., firefighters were called to a single-wide trailer home fire on 45th Street, south of McLoud and found a body while extinguishing the blaze, Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said.

The victim has not been identified, but the only person living there was an older woman, Booth said.

Investigators have not uncovered anything suspicious about the fire, which also burned an outbuilding before it was extinguished.

The death is being investigated as a homicide, which is standard procedure, Booth said.
