ELMORE CITY — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a dismembered body has been found in several cement-filled buckets in a pond on property owned by a man suspected of killing the victim.
OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown said the body was found Friday in a pond on land owned by Justin Hammer after Hammer told investigators where to search.
Hammer, 30, was charged Friday in Garvin County District Court with first-degree murder in the death of a man who the OSBI says is the ex-boyfriend of Hammer's girlfriend.
Court records show Hammer appeared in court without an attorney and pleaded not guilty.
Brown declined to identify the victim — saying the body parts have been sent to the state medical examiner's office for positive identification and to determine a cause of death.
