1:30 p.m. Bomb squad technicians have determined the package found in downtown Oklahoma City is not dangerous, police said.

12:30 p.m. The Oklahoma City bomb squad is investigating suspicious boxes found dumped in a downtown Oklahoma City field.

A caller reported a group of people dumping the boxes on the 2100 block of W Reno about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Officers responding to the scene determined the bomb squad was needed to further investigate, police said.

The investigation has shut down the Interstate 40 eastbound off-ramp to Crosstown Blvd. Travelers should avoid the area until the investigation is complete, police said.
