SAYRE — Bond has been revoked for a former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper convicted in April for having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.
Ronald Arganbright, 45, Sayre, will remain in custody at the Beckham County jail until he is sentenced May 30, according to a jail spokesman.
He was remanded to the sheriff's custody following a district court hearing Wednesday.
Assistant District Attorney Angela Marsee, who prosecuted Arganbright, declined Thursday to discuss the reason behind the state's motion.
According to The Daily Elk Citian, the Sayre schools superintendent testified at the hearing that Arganbright allegedly made posts online that concerned school officials.
Prosecutors also indicated the former trooper may suffer from coping deficiencies or emotional cognitive problems that could lead to hostility, according to the newspaper.
Arganbright was fired from the patrol in February 2011 after an investigation revealed he was maintaining a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl. The girl was 15 when the relationship began.
Beckham County District Judge Doug Haught found Arganbright guilty in April of lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16 and use of an electronic device to facilitate sexual conduct with a minor, both of which are felonies.
