COLCORD — Working from a tip received last week, Delaware County authorities have discovered bone fragments from beneath a house. The bones could be the remains of two men missing for more than two decades.

"We found several little bone fragments underneath the add-on of the house,” said Delaware County sheriff’s Capt. Robert Rowley.

The digging occurred Wednesday night and Thursday morning, authorities said.

It is unknown whether the bones are human or animal.

Rowley said the bone fragments will be sent to the state medical examiner’s lab for examination.

Authorities are searching for Johnnie Ball and William Reed.

Ball, 60, was reported missing from his Kansas, OK, home on Sept. 28, 1988.

He was last seen on Sept. 27, 1988, in a green Dodge vehicle in the Twin Oaks and Siloam Springs, Ark., area.

Reed was last seen on Dec. 9, 1987, in the Colcord and West Siloam Springs area.
