“For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada” (Ignatius Press, $12.95) by Ruben Quezada is a companion to the movie “For Greater Glory.”

The movie and the book are about the persecution of Christians in Mexico during the 1920s by the government and how brutal the government became to suppress any opposition to its will.

There are several essays by Catholic leaders of today and of that time, along with photos from the era and the movie.

The book shows that loss of religious liberties can happen anywhere, even in a very Catholic Christian country such as Mexico.
