In “Hunt the Wolf” (Mulholland Books, $25.99), Tom Crocker, assault leader of Navy SEAL Team 6, is given an assignment: find Abu Rasul Zaman, a top al-Qaida leader.
Using a climbing trip to K2, the second tallest mountain in the world, as a reason to search for him, they have a near-miss in a warehouse raid in Karachi. The raid does give them evidence of a mystery ship and a sheik running a kidnapping ring seizing young girls to be sold.
Crocker and his team fight their way through terrorists in Europe and the Middle East trying to capture the sheik, stop the kidnappings and find the mysterious ship which may be loaded with explosives.
Authors Don Mann (a longtime SEAL) and Ralph Pezzullo spend a lot of time having their characters remembering times past, but there's action galore as Crocker and his team are either shooting at terrorists or on the receiving end.
