“Iroquois Art, Power and History” (University of Oklahoma Press, $55) by Neal B. Keating is about the history, art and culture of the Iro
Keating examines the art and other cultural aspects of the Iroquois Indians from the earliest known pieces to today's art.
He argues that the Iroquois did not die out in the 19th century but are very much alive and well today. Their culture is not static but is evolving as would any living group.
Keating presents many images for the reader to enjoy. Those interested in Iroquois history and culture will enjoy this book.
