Serial killer Serge Storm and his continually-stoned sidekick, Coleman, are back in “Pineapple Grenade” (William Morrow, $25.99) by Tim Dorsey.

There is a media frenzy in Miami, Fla., over the “Hollow Man,” a corpse found on the beach without any intestines, and someone is leaving shark carcasses containing body parts at intersections within the city.

Could this be the work of Serge?

Serge decides to become a secret agent, spying for the president of a banana republic. He and Coleman run around Orlando, Fla., in superhero capes, intercepting carjackers and inadvertently saving the life of the president of Costa Gorda. Then they hang around all the embassies, taking pictures and looking suspicious.

Meanwhile, two separate CIA offices think Serge is working for the other, and a Mafioso is bringing arms into Florida. Homeland security has invented a new color for a higher threat level, and oil is spilling onto Florida's shores.

Serge's escapades are always hilarious, and this one is no exception.
