Book review: “Why Catholicism Matters: How Catholic Virtues Can Reshape Society in the 21st Century” by Bill Donohue
William “Bill” Donohue is the president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, which places him in the forefront of confronting controversial issues involving Catholicism and Christianity.
In “Why Catholicism Matters: How Catholic Virtues Can Reshape Society in the 21st Century” (Image Books, $22.99), Donohue shows how much Western culture and society owes the Catholic Church and Christianity for its art, morals, education, politics and other important aspects.
Donohue argues that secularism is trying to change Western ideals, and he shows what our country and society would lose if it succeeded. Some people may get angry about this book; others will rejoice.
