BORDEAUX, France (AP) — Bordeaux stayed in the race for a European spot by defeating Lorient 3-2 in the French league on Tuesday.

Henri Saivet put the hosts ahead with a downward header in the 22nd minute before Lorient forward Sadio Diallo beat goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso to level in the 26th.

Bordeaux restored its lead in the 36th when forward Cheick Diabate volleyed into the top corner and substitute Guillaume Hoarau made it 3-1 with a low strike in the 72nd.

Lorient centerback Lamine Kone pulled a goal back by flicking home a corner in the 84th.

Bordeaux moved into seventh place, five points behind Saint-Etienne in fourth place.

This game was initially scheduled on Feb. 9 but heavy rain flooded the pitch and forced the postponement of the match.
