Boren said OU departments should prepare to cut 5 percent from budgets
NORMAN — University of Oklahoma President David Boren said department heads should prepare to trim 5 percent from their budgets next year in case state funding can't keep up with rising costs.
"We hope for the best, but we have to prepare for another year or two of budget hardship,” Boren said.
He made the comments Monday during his State of the University address to the Faculty Senate.
